Overall this course was fun. I liked the freedom we had. I didn't feel pressured, to get things done and done well...I knew that if I didn't do good on something I could do it over and not just get a bad grade for it. I think my writing has imporoved. I feel that I have begun to show more details and make the flow of my papers better then they were.

Week 15 Post One

This is it! This semester is finally almost over! only one more post on here, a few more classes. YAY! I can't wait for classes to be over for a month! It will be great to have a break!

Week 14 post Two

Yay!! tomorrow is my birthday! I will be 19! I love when my birthday comes around because I know it's getting closer and closer to christmas! But of course my birthday is more important..haha just kidding! I have already gotten some gifts, I got a fleece columbia jacket and an L.L. Bean vest. My boyfriend couldn't wait to give me my present so he got me The Sims 2! Tat game is so addicting! I can't wait for tomorrow!

Week 14 post one

I can't believe how fast this semester has gone by! Only three weeks left and were outta here for Christmas! I can't wait it will be nice to get out and away from here for a month. I wont have to think about classes or homework, I can just relax! Now that I am waiting and waiting for this semester to be over I bet it will go by really slow!

A house keepers nightmare! (Practice Final)

Getting up bright and early on a Saturday morning was the worst part of my job. I had to clean one of my parents, recently divorced, friend's house. It was awful! I would get there every week and it would seem like I had never cleaned there in my life. Dishes piled up, laundry stacked up as high as the ceiling, dog pee on the floor. Whatever you can think of, I had to clean. I know you are probably thinking that cleaning is easy, well not in this house. I would be there for 3 or 4 hours every week! There was a basic process that I followed every week. First I would do the dishes, then start the laundry, finally clean the rest of the house.

I have never seen so many dishes in my life! Now picture this a very deep sink, filled with dishes not even rinsed off. Also keep in mind that they had been sitting there for a week. It would take me at least an hour to do the dishes. I had to scrub each plate free of dried stuck on food for what seemed like 10 minnutes and this was even before I actually started washing the dishes. It was disgusting! I couldn't believe that one man living alone could dirty so many dishes. One week It was so bad that I practically got sick just taking the dishes out of the sink so I could fill it with water and dish soap to wash them in. This was the one thing I dreaded the most about cleaning his house!

Next I would start the laundry. This guy is a farmer so you can believe that he has a lot of laundry. I would do at least five loads a week. There were dirty starch stained jeans, from him working in the potato house. I had to scrub them to try to get them some what descent looking. Also there were About a hundred towels, underwear, t-shirts, and socks. I not only had to wash these things I had to wait until everything was dry so I could fold them put them away and hang what needed to be hung. If I planned it out just right, I would be able to sit and watch TV when I was done cleaning because I had to wait for the last load of laundry to finish drying so I could fold it and put it away.


Finally I was able to start to clean the rest of the house. This consisted of vacuuming, dusting, mopping all the floors, cleaning the two bathrooms, making his bed, and whatever else he left on the to do list for me. The one thing I absolutely hated cleaning up was his dog's pee on the floor. He would just put some paper towel on the floor and leave it for me to clean up. I almost puked every time I cleaned it up because I hate the smell of dog pee. Now I would rather clean his bathroom than clean up dog pee. His bathroom was the worst, but his three daughter' bathroom wasn't bad. The only time there's was bad was when they came home from school for the weekend. It always seemed that the house owner would time this out, just as I would finish mopping he would come in the house to give me my check. Leaving behind a muddy trail that I would have to go back over and clean again. This made me mad but I had to deal with it becuase he was paying me good money!

The only good thing about cleaning this house was the pay. I got paid $10 an hour. If I had gotten any less I probably would have said, "no way am I cleaning your house!" I love to clean, but his house was a total disaster, in just one weeks time. I would hate to go to his house now. He doesn't have any one cleaning for him now since I have gone to school. So I bet it looks like a tornado went through. I will probably go back to cleaning for him this summer so I can build up my money up again. The way I look at it is that it is easy money. It's only one day a week and I guess now that I think about it, it's not that bad to have to get up early on a Saturday. Especially when I am going to make some money!

Week 13 Post 2

Yay! I didn't have to go to any classes last wednesday! It was so nice to just sleep in and then get ready to go home!

Week 13 post One

I am getting excited about Christmas more and more. It is my favorite time of the year. My mom called me yesterday and said she put the tree up so when I go home all I have to do is decorate it. We always put the tree up on my birthday, but I am not going to be home. I have my shopping done and I am gonna just sit back and watch everyone else frantcally shop for gifts. I especially like watching my father and brother. They come to me to get me to wrap all the presents they buy. Which I enjoy doing, but I hate when they wait till the last min.!
